The first ATV was a 90cc Vehicle. In those days, ATV was relied on big pillow enervates to cushion the ride.

As the name says it all, ATV means All Terrain Vehicle. ATV was manufactured to go off the road, on all kind of grounds. The ability to make it go off the track gained lot of fun to many of its customers. This ability even made it possible and useful to perform all kind of jobs where a 1000cc car might be an obstruction. They were greatly used on large farms and mountains.

ATV’s were even popular in many TV shows and movies including James Bond 007 movie. Three wheeler ATV was used in this movie and from then it gained more reputation. It was driven like a motor cycle, with two handles on each side and a seating arrange of just one person, the driver. However, three wheeled ATV were discontinued in the 80’s and gave its way to the four wheeled ATV, also known as ATV 4×4 or ATV Quad. The new ATV 4×4 was much easy and fun to ride rather than the three wheeled one. ATV engine sizes are ranged from 49cc to more than a 1000cc, with any possible size in between. However, kids loved the low or 50cc ATV due to its low speed and more excitement and were adjusted to preset its top notch speed, to boost protection. Moreover, animal hunters loved 4×4 ATV due to its more power and energy of riding in places where large vehicles can’t go. They were helpful and amusing at the same time.

ATVs are legal to ride on the streets in some of the countries, but generally it is not allowed on the streets. However, they are unbanned in all countries to ride off the road. They are meant to be a trouble free way of transport in remote areas. A long list of safety and security precautions is included featuring hydraulic brakes, push start button, extreme weather conditions and dirt safety features. Some of the ATVs are even equipped with advance security measures including remote engine killer, where any remote user can kill its engine if something goes wrong.

Nowadays, dozens of companies are manufacturing ATVs due to its increased status and demand. Yamaha and Suzuki are the largest manufactures of ATV’s. They are now being built in different sizes, shape, color and configurations depending on users demand and money. Overall, ATVs find first-class use in a lot of areas.
